Wondering if anyone can shed some light on the SQL compatibility for Dynamics AX 2012 RTM CU3.

We are upgrading our servers to SQL 2016 2017 and was wondering if Dynamics AX 2012 RTM CU3 would be compatible with any newer SQL version above 2012 which we are currently running it on.

I found some articles where they have successfully used SQL 2016 but noted that its not a recommended config. I cannot find the SR docs for RTM CU3, any help would be greatly appreciated.
