I ran a reconcile inventory from the Inventory>Utilities menu. The result was that on hand quantities changed. We performed adjustments to correct the errant reconcile adjustments. Note: Reconcile hadnt been run in a very long time.
now, the HITB is out of balance.
Question: If Reconcile inventory is going to make these changes, how do you balance the HITB in the future? the steps I was working from did not mention any of this potential error.
Or do you just not run the reconcile process in utilities?
Hey CScott72,
If reconcile is making changes that is causing a difference, you should really dig into those changes and see if they are accurate and why those changes are being made.
If this does cause a problem after the fact with your HITB Report, then you will need to look at running the HITB Reset to bring you back in line.
This is not something you want to do in live if you choose to do this. There is no way back other than a restore if you do.

I hope this helps!
