RE: OP2OC offer clarification
Hi Bess,
Happy to help here:
1. If customers are having active BREP, are they eligible for both the Dynamics 365 Cloud Migration and AX Migration offers?
Both offers support cloud migration. While there are no rules preventing a customer from combining these two promotions, however, this is not typically allowed when applying them towards the same set of users or against the same solution instance.
2. Since the Dynamics 365 Cloud Migration offer is a 3-year subscription in which prices revert to list price at the end of the 3rd year, while the AX migration offer just lasts 1-year - why would a customer select the AX Migration offer? Is the subscription period the ONLY difference between the two programs?
Customers should select between the Dynamics 365 Cloud Migration and the AX Migration offer based on their individual needs. Here are some additional differences:
The Dynamics 365 Cloud Migration Promotion is the newer offer. Eligibility is much broader. Qualifying licenses include 1) All Dynamics on-premises licenses (AX, CRM, GP, NAV, SL) with an active BREP (enhancement plan) or Software Assurance and renewing into Dynamics 365 online services, and 2) All Dyanimcs customers renewing "Fro SA/DPL, Cloud Add-on, Dynamics AX Cloud Migration or any Cloud Transition legacy offers. Note: This transition can happen over time, there is no requirement to transition all on-premises in a single event. The promotion runs from August 1, 2021 to June 30, 2023.
The AX Migration Promotion is specifically intended to encourage AX 2009 - 2012 customers to migrate. Eligible customers include DPL on-premises customers active on EP, VL on-premises customers active on SA, and must purchase Dynamics 365 online services subscription. Qualifying licenses include 1) AX 2009, AX 2012, AX 2012 R2 via DPL or 2) AX 2012, AX 2012 R2 via VL.The promotion runs from March 1, 2021 to March 1, 2022
