Hi,
when uploading a file in the Dynamics NAV 2017 Web Client using Google Chrome, a file named DynamicFileUpload.axd is being downloaded and the upload session hangs. With Internet Explorer this issue doesn't occur. Any idea how to solve this and what's causing this?
Franc.

Hello,
Yes, it is delayed due to regressions we found during testing.
Apologies for the additional delay.
Hi,
is the cumulative update delayed, since I can't find it yet?
Hello,
Unfortunately this is not a scenario that we test out of the box. From support perspective, it could be that you (as a partner) would like to report an issue to MS that MS support isn't able to reproduce and thus it does take a longer time for us to figure out why you encounter an issue while our testing procedures didn'tcatch it. Under these circumstance we may have to ask you to try a scenario in a CRONUS company that is fully upgraded to latest CU.
Thank you.
Thanks, that indeed works.
What are the risks by only updating the webclient to the latest build? Are there any known side-effects? We need this fix for IE and Chrome ASAP and a complete NAV update takes a long testing procedure.
Hi,
is this also available for NAV 2017?
Hello,
On NST there is an option called Build Restriction. I copied the help information from a D365 BC NST instance. By default it is set to WarnCLient.
///
Build Restriction
Specifies if Dynamics 365 Business Central Server must allow, warn, or prevent a connection from a client that is built with a different build number.
///
Our recommendation is of course to update all files from the latest available CU and also update the objects and leave it to WarnClient.
Thanks.
Hello,
The next cumulative update will contain the fix. The plan is to ship next CU this Friday but this can be subject of change if we find a regression in our testing which is happening this week. You need to treat the CU as you would do with any other CU. We do only test with a fully upgraded platform and full upgraded database.
Thank you.
Since we are not allowed to install cumulative updates (it breaks our main business application) until our supplier supports it, I've tried updating only the webclient (since this is the part that's connected to the internet) using the manual update method. It seems to work, but everytime the webclient is started you get a pop-up stating that there's a difference in build numbers between de webclient and the server.
Is it possible to suppress this dialog?
Will this be a fix for one or more files, that we can easily replace. Or do we have to update/reinstall NAV?
