BC integration with Field Service

Hello,

anyone knows the steps to integrate Business Central with D365 Field Service ?

    Hi David,

    I've integrated Business central On Premise with D365 Field Service.  I don't know if you want on-premise or on-cloud.

    The integration is the same as CRM or D365 sales but some functionalities are not available.

    Hi,

    I am interrested as well :

    Integrate Bc and field service.

    Focus on customer , customer invoice and payment ,agreement and service contrat, dispatch board and service date etc....

    Any documentation about it ?

    Bc on premise + Field service

    I'm sorry but I didn't find documentation.

    You must configure syncronization in Business Central on-prem as if you connect with 365 Sales (it is not possible to connect with field service natively)

    For this reason (Sales and not field service) dispatch board is not suported to integrate from Business Central.

    Hi Roberto,

    Do you mean that we can't use the field service dispatch board integration with business central on prem ?

    I though that dispatch board just set the work order date assignation.

    So if the work order is linked to the service order in Business central , it simply a field mapping.

    My logic is :

    I create service contract in BC , that create a agreement in field service.

    I create the work order in BC, that create the wo in field service.

    I create ressource in BC ,that create the ressource in field service

    I use the dispatch board in field service,that upade the work order in BC.

    Posting the invoice could be in BC or trigger from field service when WO is complete .

    Never used sales or field service....only BC.

    But have see some awesome demo of field service and dispatch board , the graphical tool is missing so hard in BC.

    I am trying to understand the integrated possibility of all D365 tools.

    Anyone managed to get this working by any chance and can share the steps/documentation, maybe? We are looking to integrate BC with field services so that for example when an Item is created in BC, this is then reflected as a product in Field Services.

    Hello Team

    I received a response from Microsoft to which they advised they do not offer assistance with solutions advise and pointed me to self-learn over at https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/business-central/dev-itpro/administration/administration-custom-cds-integration

    I had a similar question that I submitted but that also didn't get very far. Issues · MicrosoftDocs/dynamics-365-customer-engagement · GitHub

    It sounds like Microsoft are 100% sure on how these system interact with each other and its up to partners to learn these challenges. 

    If there are any partners that can help with some lesson that would be very much appreciated.
