Show multiple entities in one form and provide update functionality for each

Hello everyone,

I have a scenario where I would like to have the Time Entry from Project Service and a Custom Time Entry on Cases for Customer Service on one form. The users will be able to see their Entries from one form and update them as well. The goal here is to reduce the number of clicks for the users and just provide a single screen where all Time Entry tasks can be completed for both the Project Service App and Customer Service App.

I have thought of creating webservice and HTML webresource, but I am not sure how to bring them together considering that HTML webresources in D365 only show static pages.

Any suggestions, recommendations, and references will be highly appreciated.

    Hi,

Perhaps you can use the form component. This allows you to edit related table records directly from another table’s main form:

    docs.microsoft.com/.../form-component-control

Another option is also possible which allows you to open a main form in a dialog:

    powerapps.microsoft.com/.../

    Hello Mehdi,

Thank you for your response. However, this would work for only related records. Is there a similar approach I can use for non-related entities?

I am currently looking at the option of an Editable Grid on a Dashboard, but not sure if there is a more efficient way to do this for non-related Entities.

I don't know a method to implement this for unrelated records.

You can create a model driven app that contains entities from Project Service App and Customer Service App. This will reduce the number of clicks.
