Hii,

Modifying SalesQuotation report. Added three new fields in SalesQuotationHeaderTmp table. I opened the VS 2010 -> Application Explorer -> SSRS Reports -> SalesQuotation > Edit

When I refresh dataset get "Microsoft.Dynamics.AX.Framework.Services.Metadata.Contracts.QueryDataSourceMetada was thrown".

From datasourse Query trying to select again SalesQuotationDP but same error.

In another report I tried to add SalesQuotationDP again same error. I removed the new fields from tmp table again same error.

Did Incremental CIL, restarted AOS.

I have multiple instances on Dev server and VS is linked with right instance. I modified SalesQuotation and all changes were ok but when added new field and refresh dataset things gone wrong.

AX 2012 R2 and VS 2010.

Please guide.

Thanks,

In the "Query" field where it says something like "SELECT Field...", just selected all of the text, delete it,  when saving i not allowing to save, then clicked the ellipses (...) and selected SalesQuotationDP and clicked Next, at this point giving same error.

when opening From AOT -> Visual Studio Projects -> SalesQuotationReport -> Edit   getting following error...

C:\Users\abcuser\AppData\Local\Temp\2\Microsoft Dynamics AX\Dynamics AX Model Projects\SalesQuotationReport\SalesQuotationReport.dynamicsproj : error  : Unable to connect to the AOS specified in the Microsoft Dynamics AX Client Configuration. The configuration could be missing, invalid, or the AOS is not running. To connect to the AOS, check the network connection between the client and the AOS, verify that a valid configuration exists, and that the AOS service is running on the server.

Following two points worked for me.

    1. Restarted SQL Server

    2. To create a configuration for Reporting Services, run the Microsoft Dynamics AX configuration utility as an administrator, and then click Manage > Save configuration as file, and give the configuration a name like Microsoft.Dynamics.AX.ReportConfiguration.axc. The file must be saved in the PrivateAssemblies folder in the Visual Studio IDE installation directory, like the following:

    C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual Studio 10.0\Common7\IDE\PrivateAssemblies.
