Help consuming AX web service in SoapUI

I have a java background and a fair amount of experience with web services.  However, I'm brand new to AX.

I have created a web service in AX that I ultimately need to consume through a java app so I'm initially testing through SoapUI.

I can look at the wsdl in IE without a problem:

When I try to create a SoapUI project with this WSDL, I get prompted for my password:

I enter my username, password and domain.  SoapUI chugs along for quite a while:

But then I ultimately get this message:

Does this look to be a security issue?  I'm unclear how to tell where security is set up in AX for the web service since it seems to be blank for my service:

Any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry - I put screen shots in my post but they don't seem to appear.

The error message I'm getting in SoapUI is:

There is something wrong with the WSDL you are trying to import.

WSDLException: faultCode=PARSER_ERROR: Problem parsing 'sdcap68d/.../xppservice.svc;.: java.net.SocketException: Connection reset

Usually this is because the web.config and / or the IIS needs NTLM or basic auth setup......then you can go into the AIF configuration and modify the auth there as well (you need to deactivate your port first)

most cases consuming WCF directly will not work

    implement the additional webservice.

I've set up both IIS and my service to use basic auth but this hasn't helped.

Could it be an access issue within AX with my userid and password?

Try to also make this change in SoapUI: blog.zestconsulting.net

Hi, curious whether you got this working in the end, since I was rather interested in this as well.

I was finally able to get this resolved with http and basic auth.  I can now consume my web service in SoapUI.

Is this also possible in AX7? In the concept they say that you need a azure active directory: ax.help.dynamics.com/.../dynamics-ax-7-services-technical-concepts-guide

But is a basic authentification also working?
