Hi

I have created one C/al Global Selection which is of option Type . It has options Customer,Vendor. I want if user selects Customer then list of Customer Groups should get displayed in another dropdown . If Vendor is selected Then List of Vendor Groups should be displayed in that dropdown.

Thanks

First the drop down should be of type Code. Then go to the properties of this dropdown field and define the conditional relationship.

    Hi

You need to create a field for the drop down list to be displayed of type 'Code'. I have defined a field 'Result' below of type 'Code'. Now you need to set the table relation after navigating to the properties of the drop down field . You can check the screenshots below:

Now go to the properties of Result field and do the following:

    Hi

I have written the below code in TableRelation but it is giving error - You cannot enter

If (OptionSet=CONST(Customer)) "Customer Posting Group" Else If (OptionSet=CONST(Vendor))"Vendor Posting Group" in FieldNo.

If (OptionSet=CONST(Customer)) "Customer Posting Group" Else If (OptionSet=CONST(Vendor))"Vendor Posting Group"

    Thanks

    Hi Jsshivalik,

Make sure OptionSet field is correct first, then you can input TableRelation for the Posting Groups field:

    Hi,

Make sure that your options in the option set string should be matching in table relation. Also instead of typing directly, it is preferrable to click the ellipsis button (...) at the right side of TableRelation and then enter the table relation.

    Now click on OK

    Hi

I am using Navision 2013 . When i click on ... nothing happens. In C/Al Globals i have defined OptionSet as Option DataType and Rtype as Code. Then on Request Page i have set the Table Relation in RType field.

    Thanks

    Hi,

Do you want this customization to be done in a report or in a page?

The above method which I mentioned is for a page.

If you want this to be done in request page of a report you can refer my blog using the below link:
