Returns Module

We just started using the Returns Module in GP 2015.  I am having a problem with the closing of a part number.  It has been received in, put on a work order and won't allow us to close the RMA.  It is giving me the error that the serial number is already in inventory...  I have already gone through check links and reconcile.  The item it not in inventory anywhere.  Any suggestions on how to get this unlocked?  Slight problem is the work order was voided.... My guess is this RMA is stuck in a table somewhere, I just don't know which table.  Any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated.
