    RE: Importing Chart of accounts

    Hi Babu,

The wizard process is our customization to speed up user interaction, it is not in your system. However, you can do it manually:

    - In Configuration Packages list page, click New button to create new package.

    - In General group of Package card page, Type in Code, Package Name for new package.

    - In Tables group, select Table ID 15 - G/L Account.

    - To configure fields, place cursor on Table ID 15 line, click Table -> Fields (in Tables group). Include fields that you need (system includes all fields by default). Click OK when finish.

    - To export Excel template, place cursor on Table ID 15 line, click Excel -> Export to Excel (in Tables group).

    - Edit data in exported Excel file.

    - To import Excel file, place cursor on Table ID 15 line, click Excel -> Import from Excel (in Tables group).

    RE: Importing Chart of accounts

    Hi Babu,

You're so new to NAV and welcome to NAV :-) Below Youtube links can help you:

    - How to find the Chart of Accounts.

    - Setting Up the Chart of Accounts.

Basically, there 2 page types for master data:

    - Card page: display information of one object, such as "G/L Account Card" shows information of one G/L Account.

    - List page: display list of objects, one line is information of one object. The list of G/L Account is "Chart of Accounts".

I just checked "Chart of Accounts" list page, you cannot edit the list directly (mean you cannot copy and paste from Excel). You should go through my 2 and 3 suggestions.
