Hi. I am new to this. So far I understand that to be able to track which link a contact has visited, I will have to add the generated script to my page/website. The cookies are automatically saved to their browser, and I can turn on the cookie notification banner in the settings, to let the visitors know that I am using them. So far so good, but by law I have to give them the option to opt out from this cookies. Is there a way to do it? Thank you.
Hi Elena .This is for a client. I don't manage their website, so I am not sure if they have this implemented.
the other way would be to use 3rd party cookie management system - which you probably has already in place to manage eg external corporate websites
I know what you are concerned about, but the fact is the banner won't stop the server from setting the cookie—it just informs visitors that cookies are being used.
Cookie is dependency for the script to identify contact in each time submission, see the cookie policy of Dynamics Marketing:
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/marketing/cookies
The only way to avoid cookie is to always browse marketing page in incognito or private mode.
