how well the Microsoft Dynamics GP works for process industry types........?

Hi guys,

I am looking for a solution that can address the Material Issue accounting, costing system and other manufacturing options for Process Industry types. I have looked at GP 10.0 demo version/user guides, where we could see that it addresses needs of Assembly and sub Assembly manufacturers.

So please suggest me how well it works for process Industry types and  how should i customize the options in GP 10.0 in order to work on it?

    We have several soft drink bottlers, a food manufacturer, and a soap manufacturer use GP's manufacturing module.  It will work.  It doesn't have features like a Vicinity MFG product with different formulas and some of the other process mfg niceties.  You should get a demo that is for your business from your partner.

    You can also add bird seed, chemical, baked goods manufacturers to the list of folks who are using standard Dynamics GP for process manufacturing.

    We as well have numerous process manufacturing companies using GP - chemical, food processing, auto care products, etc.  Some use Vicinity Manufacturing' process add-on, some do not.  I would definitely get a demo of the latest GP offering - GP 2013 R2, and not rely too much on a GP 10 demo.  That version is 5+ years old.
