RSAT Tool error

Hi All,

I am trying to install latest RSAT tool and run it from my local desktop window 10Pro. But the error message is giving me "Unexpected error launching Internet Explorer. Protected Mode settings are not the same for all zones. Enable Protected Mode must be set to the same value (enabled or disabled) for all zones. (SessionNotCreated)" if I used internet explorer browser. Although I change the protected mode for all zone, it doesn't resolve.

if i use chrome browser, another error "session not created: This version of ChromeDriver only supports Chrome version 76" is encountered.

Do you have any idea?

Thanks.

Regards,

Myo

Actually the error message provides you quite a good info on how to resolve the problem.

I suggest you try to install / update a supported version of Chrome.

If you want to use IE, you have to change the protected mode settings as mentioned in the error message.

    Hi Myo

I can't comment on IE, but for Chrome, the version of ChromeDriver provided with RSAT is most likely not the same as the version of Chrome that you're running.  I had the same problem the other day.

Check you version of Chrome (Help / About Chrome) and then download the version of ChromeDriver that corresponds to that version - checkout the chromium.org website.

Then, locate where RSAT has installed its version of ChromeDriver (somewhere in one of the Program Files directories).

Delete, or rename the RSAT version and replace it with the downloaded file that matches your Chrome version.

That should do it, but a reboot after the above won't do any harm.

    Hope that helps.

    Regards

    Mike
