Thanks in advance.

    Hi Nobowan,

Which Inventory costing method are you using? I guess it is not Standard cost or Moving average. If you are using FIFO, LIFO or Average, you have to recalculate and close inventory on a regular base.

Then the real cost will be corrected.

You can read more starting here: technet.microsoft.com/.../gg213716.aspx

You can also download a whitepaper explaining the costing methods: www.microsoft.com/.../details.aspx

It is a document for AX 2009 but still applies for AX 2012.

    hi  André Arnaud de Calavon,

    Thanks for your help.

I used the  inventory model is a Weighted AVG. date and Monthly average cost

I have closed the inventory, and run the recalculation, but  cost amount is not adjusted.

    kind regards,

    Hi,

What date was used for the closing/recalculation? Can you indicate if there are also other transactions for this item?

What are the settings in the Tracking dimension groups for the Batchnumber. I'm curious about the tick boxes "Physical inventory" and "Financial inventory".

If you look at the closing and recalculations it is possible to open a form "Settlements" can you find records related to this item?

I am facing the same issue with one of my company customers. First it was result of not invoicing the transactions (Purchase order, production order, sales order), after closing these transaction it fix most of our problems, but even after invoicing we still facing the same, cost amount that have value and zero quantity in specific date. if you have any suggestion I could use, i would be grateful.

    Hi Kareem,

This is a really old thread. Would you mind to start a new one, and give an example of one of the issues you still face?

If you could include the settings of 'Inventory model' and 'Include physical value' from the Item model group', and tell us the lines on the Storage and Tracking dimension groups which are both 'Active' and have 'Financial inventory' ticked, that would be great too.
