We recently signed up and started implementing Dynamics GP. We wanted the HR systems as well, but during the process it became evident to us that the user portal was sub-standard.
So sub-standard that we pulled the project. We couldn't really expect employees (especially coming from the software industry) to use this portal. There was no reasonable way of tracking leave (vacation versus sick, etc) and there were significant problems with IE setup for users. IE in itself is a problem too as most of our users are on Chrome or Firefox.
I understood from our consultants that the portal portion is due for an update in 2015? Can anyone provide me any insight for this, as I'm not having to re-think how we move forward. Any information or insight (particularly from other tech companies) would be appreciated.

There are changes that are being made to Business Portal and that aspect. Your partner should be able to provide you that information.
