Alternate project dropdown does not show parent project list

Earlier, projects were not appearing on the project list page. At that time, I edited the URL after the '=' sign, replacing projlistpage with projtable, and refreshed the page — after which the created projects started appearing.

For example:

https://enigmaaxis.sandbox.operations.eu.dynamics.com/?cmp=abc&mi=ProjTable

Now, the issue is that in the Budget fast tab, when the toggle 'Use alternative project for budget verification' is turned ON, the 'Alternative project' dropdown does not display the parent project list.

This issue is not occurring in our second entity — both instances have the same version and configuration.

We create a parent project, and the sub-project uses the budget from the parent project.

Hi,

If the "Alternative project" dropdown isn’t showing parent projects, check that,

The parent project is in the same legal entity

It's correctly set up in the project hierarchy

Budget control rules include that project

No personalizations or usage data are blocking

Hi,

Could you please review the below setups –

How It Works
Parent-Child Budgeting – The sub-project does not maintain its own budget but instead pulls from the parent project.

Budget Control Setup – When enabled, the system checks the budget against the parent project instead of the sub-project.

Project Hierarchy Integration – Ensures that costs recorded in sub-projects are validated against the parent project’s budget.

Could you please share screenshot of parent project & sub-projects along with the budget details posted for the parent projects. Thank You.

Are you facing this issue for only one particular project or all projects?

@Abhilash Warrier I am facing this for all projects. We create WBS in parent project, then import WBS lines in Project budget.
