Creating ARSB location with 3 digit format

Hi all,

Currently i am working on WMS module in AX 2012 R3

I did some R&D in setup where in i created locations in the format "Aisle, Rack, Shelf and Bin(ARSB)".

and the pattern i followed was

01A01R1S1B

01A02R2S2B

01A03R3S3B

01A04R4S4B

But now as we are creating a setup for new warehouse for a customer, the customer wants the location format as follows

01A010R010S01B

01A020R020S02B

01A030R030S03B

01A040R040S04B

But, when we create location from location setup wizard it creates the location in sequence and it will not allow us to create the format for Rack and bin like 010,020,030 etc..

Is there a possible way to do this ?

Hi,

It is possible, but you have one fundamental flaw to overcome first. Location formats in WHS support only ten digits in the location name, and you've got 14. If you can get past that, I've created an example with Rack and Shelf only.
