Email Activity in Contacts - TO field info

Hi All,

I need a general info about Email Activity in Contacts form.

After adding Activities pane in the Contacts form, I click on the Email Activity and see the Contact name in the TO field. I couldn't send any Email, as the server-side sync settings is pending.

I want to make sure that, the TO field is referring to the OOTB Primary Email field in the Contacts form to send the Email.

    Hi Praveen,

    By design CRM use primary email field (first email field) on any entity to send email. so in case of contact as well it will use it's primary email address by default.

    Hi Praveen,

    No, There is no configuration available to change this behaviour, but you can work using SDK to send email to secondary field, check this: crmtipsbyprm.wordpress.com/.../send-email-to-seconday-email-of-account-and-contacts-dynamics-crm other option to have another contact with the second email address.
