Tracked appointment not private

Hi

Whenever I track a private appointment from Outlook -> the Field Service Schedule Board (I've enabled the mailbox), the appointment is not marked as private. Actually you are able to open the appointment and see "what's inside" in descriptions as well...

Does everyone else have the same problem?

Really looking for a solution for this,

I have the same question (0)

It seems to be the expected behaviour if the appointment is not marked as private on the user's calendar.

I am unsure if it relies on the outlook calendar settings. Is it shared if the entire organization?

    Hi Smartguy101,

The OrgDBOrgSetting – SSSSyncAppointmentIsPrivateFromExchange, which allows the flow of IsPrivate on appointment from Exchange to CRM as a one way sync where the IsPrivate value in Exchange will be the source of truth.

However, there is no option to make the tracked Private Appointments invisible in CRM as the Security Roles applied to the User relies on which team the User belongs to and all the Users in that Team/Business Unit will be able to see the Appointments.

So you need set privilege of appointment in the security role to control who can access it.

    Great, thanks Leah

So, yes, we are able to limit the access to see these private appointments to within only one team/business unit, but on the team/business unit level we are not able to set an appointment to private?

I'm looking for a solution where this private appointment will ONLY be shown as a private appointment, and where users are not able to see information from these private appointments accross each other...

    Hi Smartguy101,

If you set "user" permissions for the active entity on the security roles assigned to these users, it can enable them to view only the appointments they have.

But this will affect all other activities (emails, tasks ......) , because we can't set appointments privilege separately.

    Thanks, Leah

Hm, I just find it strange that users as standard are able to see each other's private appointments, when they are initially scheduled.

But I might be missing something.
