Azure DevOps - Workspace mapping

Hello Team,

I am connecting to Azure DevOps in my Tier 1 Development environment. I connected to DevOps project and when configuring a workspace for /metadata/ and /project/, It throws the below error.

Please advice, to remove the existing mapping of the old user and connect new workspace for new user.

It seems that there already is a workspace with this local path on the machine of this name. It means either this particular VM, or another VM that has or has the same name.

You can either remove that workspace if it's not needed anymore (that's the usual approach), rename the VM (if you've realized that the name isn't correct) or use a different folder (which would require some changes in F&O config files, but it's not that complicated).

This issue also could happen because before removing the workspace mapping, the user got signed out in Visual studio.

Another option here would be : you can login to VS with the old user and remove all the mapping and then sign in with the new user.
