Account structure not getting validate while creating Budget Planning Lines

Hi All,

In D365 F&O, I am facing one issue that while creating Budget planning lines system is not validating/stopping account structure.

I had account structure configure and active and it is working fine. 

In case when I am creating budget lines it pop the warning but will allow to proceed further.

In other case if the dimension values are not as per account structure system won't allow to proceed further.

So just want to understand any additional set up for the budget planning to get the account structure valiadted.

    Can you please share the screen shot of the error message.

    Did you select the dimension to be used in the budget parameters.

    The account structure is as follows:-

    The dimension value mapping to GL account

    System provide only warning and allow to process further.

    Ideally it should stop at this point.

    Any help on this is much appreciated.

    But the screen you show has two different accounts. One is 761200 and the other which has error is 761300.

    For both the GL account 761200 & 761300 the behavior is same.

    Hi All,

    Got the solution for this problem.

    We have to configure Budget plan rule under account structure and link to the Advance rule.

    Once this is done then system validate budget plan with account structure.
