Stop script for service model: AOSService on machine:

Hi,

I tried to use the LCS to deploy a deployable package to one of our environment.

And it showed the error in step 3. Stop script for service model: AOSService on machine: Demo001.

I tried to resume the step, but still failed.

How can I fix this?

Thanks,

Stop script for service model: AOSService on machine:
As a note to anyone experiencing this problem, as of version 10.0.36, an updated Microsoft Visual C++ (VC++) runtime environment must be installed in cloud-hosted environments for developers (also known as OneBox environments) or VHD images as a prerequisite for new service updates.

Close VS session on the VM if this is the case. It worked for me.

Looks like the VS needs to be closed in the VM before we run the LCS deployment.

    Hi,

In Microsoft Dynamics Lifecycle Services (LCS), open the Environment page.

Click the name of a virtual machine (VM), and establish a Remote Desktop connection to the VM by using the user name and password that are provided on theEnvironmentpage.

On the VM, download the zip file for the deployable package from LCS.

Note: After you download the zip file, right-click it, and then select Properties. Then, in the Properties dialog box, on the General tab, click Unblock to unlock the files. Finally, extract the files, and continue with the next step.

In the folder where the deployable package was extracted, find and open the file that is named DefaultTopologyData.xml. You must populate this file with the VM name and installed components.

    Thanks Kavitha,

But we are working on LCS. Do you mean I need to log into the VM and manually to fix it, then continue to Resume on LCS?

    Hi,

Using Windows PowerShell ISE you are actually able to debug your way through the script.

When you have located the error you can use AXUpdateInstaller to mark the step as completed and it will automatically move on to the next step.
