Inputting the Company Registration Number for a Legal Entity

Hi all,

I am trying to input the company registration number for a particular legal entity in Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012.

I have tried using the form accessed through Organization Administration --> Organizations --> Legal Entities. However, I could not find the field where I could input the company registration number.

The company registration number is something like this:

CRN AC097609

It corresponds to the RegNo field in the CompanyInfo table.

Could you please guide me how to fill in this number for my legal entity? Thank you in advance.

Dear,

Company registration Number I think you need to customize this. If you want to use this for info only you can use ant field in legal entities --> Additional Registration --> Any useful field. Or ask developer to add a new field.

If you want to show in company address you need to create a custom address for this.

It will be good if you can provide me the purpose.

Hi Prashant,

I need this company registration number to show it in multiple reports. It will not be used for any calculations or useful logic, just to display it in a report.

Dear,

In this case you can create a custom address format and add a field there for company address and update your address format and after this update it will come to your company address and it will come in al reports where company address is coming.

Hi Anthony76,

In AX 2012, there is a RegNum field on the CompanyInfo table. It is found on the 'Bank account information' fast tab on the Legal Entities form. The field is labelled 'Routing number' in en-gb.

On the 'Tax registration' fast tab there is also 'Tax registration number' (which is CompanyInfo.CoRegNum).

I guess you want to enter this information so that it appears on certain reports? Perhaps test if either of these appear on the reports you expect it to.

Dear,

It depend upon country to country. Tax registration number (Example:TIN(In India)) is different then CR number. CR number he need to put in company address and he want to show this in all reports where company address comes.For this you need to reformat your company address to a custom format.
