How to check Deleted values from the table?

Dear Experts,

Can I kindly ask you the below?

We are going through the UAT phase and somehow one user (not known) deleted some values from employee master, as a result, now employee-user relationship is in mess.

I need to make a RCA who did that, and I also need to provide a plan how these values can be seen in future (what values were deleted)

How can I achieve this?

I have the same question (0)

    Hy Ramit,

first of all you should ensure that your users have the correct security roles, duties, privileges and capabilities according to their resonsabilty. This should be present in UAT in a early stage of the implementation project.

For second there is an option to setup a database log from GUI to monitor those events when user create, update or delete records. This should be used carefully as it can cause database performance issues if you do that enable on transaction tables. For master data with limited number of records it can be used without excitement.

You can setup this on “System administration/Setup/database log/database log setup”. Just create a new entry and go through the steps of the wizard and select the table and fields you want to monitor, the change type fro table and/or fields and confirm the wizard. The GUI selection here is not as highly sophisticated.

After that you can take a look to the database log for changes made at the works table at “System administration/Queries/database log/database log setup”.

    Hi Ramit,

A small additional comment. Andreas provided the correct answer for future issues. Without the database log setup, there is no option to see who deleted a record or made what exact change. For this incident, there is no trace who deleted the records.
