hello I am trying to invoice return orders-but getting this error:Cannot create a record in Ledger journal table (LedgerJournalTable). Name: ARPAY, ARPAY.
The record already exists.

can someone help?

Hi,

Please check the number sequence which is setup for the Journals (General ledger parameters "Journal Batch Number")

If this is set to continuous, you can review the List if there are numbers set as free which are already used. Then delete these numbers.

Actually this number sequence can be used without being continuous. Then this problem will not happen as it alsways will draw a new number then.

Open the number sequence for Journal batch number, Open the Status list of the number sequence and delete all the active, locked and unused numbers.

Then generate the new journal and it will work.

Hi to All,

Actually now i am facing same issue while posting Vendor Payment Journal.

As what you people replied for that i checkout in Status list of Journal Batch Number Sequence but

nothing will be there in that form, it means its showing empty.

I check and Un check Continues button for both i am getting same error.

Please help me out

We were getting the same error while users were trying to Create and Post journal entries in AP, AR and GL modules. I was able to resolve this by Compiling and Synchronizing the following tables and form.

Compiled and Synchronized the tables

LedgerJournalTable

LedgerJournalTrans

Compiled the form

Ledgerjournaltable

Everyone was able to create and post journals after this. For one person I had to RESET the Usage Data and Clear CACHE by deleting the *.AUC files in \APPDATA folder.
