Hello,
I would like to modify the standard vendor template to include additional columns and then save it back to the system but I cannot find the template. When I download the Excel template, the data entity name is VendVendor2Entity but I cannot find this entity in the document templates section. When I seach for vendors, I get the following list which does not include the view/amend vendors template.
Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you for reaching out to Microsoft community.
In D365FinOps, when an entity (e.g.VendVendor2Entity) has the same root datasource (table) as a form, it will be added by default as an option in the Open in Excel section of the Open in Microsoft Office menu. Open in Excel options can be found on frequently used forms, inclusing "All vendors" from where I believe you export the Vendor document template you are mentioning. Also, the Open in Office menu provides a default export for each data entity and the data export includes all the fields in the AutoReport group on that data entity.

Another quick option to export the VendVendor2Entity including the additional columns, might be through "Excel workbook designer" feature: docs.microsoft.com/.../office-integration
