Sending Mail setup while setting Report server Configuration

Dear Experts,

I installed and configured ssrs Report services so many times, but now we are sending reports using the SMTP server to different users, if i am configuring Report server for the first time what will be setup please check the above image.What should i write in "Sender Address" fields as well "SMTP SErver" Field. Last thing how to find SMTP server address ?? that which will be added to "SMTP Server " field.

Hi Shabir,

Aren't you sending the reports from AX? In that case, why do you need this configuration?

Hi Gunjan Bhattacharyya ,

We were sending Reports to our outlook 365 users as per requirement.But unfortunately, the DB server went down.Now if install new sql server 2016 and then configuring Reporting services in it so should i setup this place as i shown above in image.

Hi Shabir,

To my knowledge these aspects of reporting services haven't changes from SQL 2014. You can replicate the setting as they were in SQL 2014.

However, I though you would be using print management/ AX email capabilities to send reports to the users. If that's the case, you don't need this setup.

Thanks for your prompt Replies, we are printing reports and sending reports using mails as well that is the condition here, that's way i asked so you mean to say no need to setup this place.

Hi Shabir,

In that case don't need this setting in reporting services.

You just need to setup the E-mail parameters and Report parameters in AX correctly.

Hello Shabir,

Just make sure Email parameter and SMTP parameters aren't correct, there may be a problem with your authentication and so on.
