PTO Manager Fixed per pay period based on years worked

How can you setup 1 PTO Schedule that will accrue PTO hours based years of service.  For instance:

1 - 2 years:  2.31 hrs/pay period

3 - 5 years:  3.08 hrs/pay period

Over 5 years: 3.85 hrs/pay period

I can see creating 3 separate schedules, but then someone would need to track years of service and manually change them when they passed from one level to the next.  I tried creating a schedule with Range Based On Years Worked and Maximum Hours Based on Per Pay Period - Fixed.  I set the Fixed Maximum Hours to 4.0, and set the different ranges as:

0 - 2.99   Calc Factor=2.31

3 - 4.99   Calc Factor=3.08

5 - 99.99 Calc Factor=3.85

When I tested, however, it always took the 4 hour maximum.

Thanks!

You only need to create one schedule with the ranges for 'years worked' as described above, so that the system will automatically bump the employee up to the next tier when the years worked falls within the next tier.

When testing, it sounds like you are maxing out with the fixed maximum hours of 4..00.

I would recommend testing again with a schedule set up as follows:

Range based on : 'Years worked'

Maximum hours based on :  'Per Pay period - Variable'

    Range              Calc factor       Max hrs

    0.00 - 2.99          9.99               2.31

    3.00 - 4.99          9.99               3.08

    5.00 - 99.99        9.99               3.85

Here is a KB 949763 on how to set up PTO Mgr to accrue a specific number of hours based on number of years employed so please review this as  well:
