ISV Licensing Certificate Error when Importing License

Hi Everyone,

We are in the process of licensing our ISV, and we are following Microsoft documentation (independent software vendor (ISV) Independent software vendor (ISV) licensing - Finance & Operations | Dynamics 365 | Microsoft Learn.

Our Certificate is an HSM Based Key ( Azure Vault key) and we were able to create the license File, but we are running into a error when trying to import the License file to Finance & Operations through powershell.

The error is the following:

"Infolog diagnostic message: 'The certificate associated with the license is not a trusted certificate.' on category 'Error'."

We are using a certificate (X.509) 4096-bit code and i have seen that this may be the reason of the problem,does anyone know a solution to bypass this problem?

How did you generate license for HSM based key ? it's giving me error of The certificate does not contain a private key..

C:\AOSService\PackagesLocalDirectory\Bin\axutil genlicense /file:c:\templicense.txt /licensecode:ISVLicenseCode /customer:TAEOfficial.ccsctp.net /serialnumber:4dbfcf74-c5a6-4727-b638-d56e51d1f381 /subjectName:"ISVCert" /thumbprint:******** /expirationdate:11/30/2023

I am trying to generate via this command as mentioned in documentation

We tried generating the license file with the same comand you are using in powershell but we were unnable to do it because we are having an error that the certificate isnt being found with the subjectname and thumbprint especified.

By doing some search about this problem we came across an external app and tried to create for an HSM based key and the License file was created.

Can you tell me if you are able to create and import the license via this method?

We were also having same issue while importing license key ""Infolog diagnostic message: 'The certificate associated with the license is not a trusted certificate.' on category 'Error'."" and License value for "licensekey" is incorrect. We tried to add the Trusted root certification authorities but no luck. Can anyone faced similar issues can share your experience on this ?
