Can Commissions be calculated based of square footage of product instead of per dollar?

I am relatively new to MS GP. I've been helping to manage the system for around 2-3 years. Occasionally something comes up that I don't know to much about. We have someone that is supposed to be earning 6 cents per square foot of product. Instead, it was setup in the system to earn .06% per dollar. Is it possible to do this or is it always per dollar?

    Hello,

You are correct that the only functionality available for commissions in Dynamics GP would be a percentage of the Sales/Invoice and not based on any other unit of measure.  Note that the commission amount can be changed during entry so there is some flexibility with the amount you need recorded.

    Best Regards,
