hi all
how many segment can be used when configuring account structure , in may scenario i want to use like 20 segment is this OK or not .

I think that's technically possible.
I would strongly question the reasons you have for doing that. Using so many dimensions can have a lot of unpleasant side effects and typically strongly not recommended.
It would be horrible to maintain and practically use that many segments, even though if it would be technically feasible.
One of my previous implementation had 7 segments which was commented as an unusually high number by Microsoft, since we worked very close with them under a Premiere Mission Critical contract.
You should challenge the business if they really want to shoot their financials team in the leg by using 20 segments.
You can use as many segments as you want, but data entry and journal validation will be pain.
Are you sure you understand the difference between segments and Dimension values?
As Experts said, Technically possible.
but I don't think any organization need to configure 20 financial dimensions on the same account
as a business-wise, this is very bad, so you can redesign your structure again and optimize it

The max. number is 21 (see: dynamicsax-fico.com/.../max-number-of-financial-dimensions)
Many reports and only forms, such as the Trial Balance form can handle max. 10.
