How to add a new parameter in class method through COC

Hi Folks,

I have extended a standard public static method of a table and trying to add a new parameter in the method.

Could you please let me know how can I do that? As if I m trying to do it is giving error.

This is impossible - you need to find a better design.

In fact, you don't really need to add a parameter there, because this new parameter wouldn't be populated by any standard code (and you couldn't change that). You could use from your code only, but then you don't need an extension of a standard method. You can create your own method with the extra parameter, do whatever you want with the parameter and call the standard method with standard parameters.

Hi,

You can't add a new parameter to an existing standard method. It's either you create ur own method or use a new variable inside the method.

Can you tell us your business scenario and why u think u need a new parameter?

I m trying to mark the answer as verified but every time the portal is hanging and it is not working. Please suggest me how this issue can be solved if you have any idea.

Unfortunately, it's a well-known bug that still hasn't been fixed. I don't know if it helps to increase the priority, but you may try to complain through Community support or Community feedback.

But if you tell me which reply or replies you want to verify as the answer, I can try to do it on your behalf. It often (but not always) works for me.
