How to hide/delete the "Lists and segments"-button on Contact form?

Posted on by 20

Hi everyone,

Is there a possibility to make sure that users (with a specific security role that can only read and 'append to' segments and lists) to prevent them from adding/deleting contacts to/from segments and lists, and to hide/delete the "Lists and segments"-button on the Contact Form?

    Hi Lothar van Diessen,

I think you can use Ribbon Workbench to hide the buttons: Develop 1 Ltd | Ribbon Workbench for Dynamics 365 & Dynamics CRM

1.Download and import to the environment's solution (by "import solution" button). Open solution in Advance setting and you will see the Ribbon Workbench button at the top.

2.Create a new solution and put an empty contact table in it (no need to check those two boxes). Open the new solution you create in Ribbon Workbench.

3.Create a customer enable rule, using JS to restrict only users with a specific security role can pass the rule.

    4.Pulish it.

Of course, you can also use the built-in hidden button function to make the button become invisible to everyone.
