Hi , I am trying to build a report to get the Unit Cost of an item as at a particular date. Items use the Average Costing Method.
I was going to use the Value Entries but not sure how to formulate the equation to get the Unit Cost. Any ideas how to go about this, please?
Thanks!

There is already a report in nav that you can use. It is called inventory valuation.
Hi Alexander,
Yes I'm trying to get how much did the item unit cost as at that particular date (not the remaining inventory). I have tried to look into the Average cost. Calc. but cannot manage to get the calculation right in terms of cost (because in terms of quantity it is easy to understand how it is changing). Maybe you know how NAV is using these entries to calculate the unit cost?
Thanks!
Can you clarify your task a bit? Do you want to get the average unit cost of the stock, remaining at a selected date, or do you want to consider all the purchasing operations of items and calculate the average unit cost considering all the purchases, regardless sales/transfers? You can also drill down to Unit Cost field in the Item card itself, there could be calculations you are looking for.
