Hi,
I have found a interesting question about use of dates in sales order.
How can be the due date on sales order is before order date or document date in business central.
Thanks in advance
Due Date is calculated based on the Document Date.
Does it answer your question? if not, you have to be more clear on your question.
What if i change due date before document date ?
It doesn't do anything. but I don't think there is any scenario like this in real time.
You can not take Due date before order date, as it calculates based on the Customer card's Payment terms field.
Thanks.
Due date is calculated based on Document Date and Due Date Calculation of the Payment Terms Code
Sales Order>>Invoice Details>>Payment Terms Code
Payment Terms
Example: if the Document date is 1/1/2022 and Due Date Calculation of the Payment Terms Code is 12D, then the Due Date will be 1/13/2022
Thanks
Shathika
Your are right. But i guess there should be some error if we change due date before document date explicitly.
Makes sense but we can achieve this by customization.
