Change virtual entiyy from Retrieve only to also Create, Update and Delete

Hi,
We've started creating virtual entities that were readonly at first and lateron updated the dataprovider to also implement the Create, Update and Delete plugin steps.
But the virtual entity form stays 'read only' when opening one entity record.
Also we've noticed that the virtual entities are missing the Create, Write and Delete privileges, while a newly created test virtual entity with the adjusted dataprovider does have these privileges.
Is there a way for us to force the same behavior of a newly created virtual entity to the already existing entity?
I have the same question (0)

I also have 1 virtual entity with the data source being an API which doesn't allow Update or Create. I only notice Retrieve, Append and Append To privileges.

Did you end up figuring out how to fix existing entities?
