VHD Fresh configuring mean while asking for Application ID in Generate self- signed certificates

Hi Experts,

I am configuring fresh VHD in generate self-signed certificate prompt it needs "Application ID" where should i watch this application ID

    Hi Shabir,

    This should be the application ID of the Azure active directory application that you need to create to configure this VM. You can check this link for more details.

    I watched this Document before, but i am a little confuse. My VM is local VHD, should i go and register in in azure ?

    Hi Shabir,

    Yes. This is the procedure for the new VHDs released by MS. You have to register an application in Azure portal and use the application Id to generate a self-signed certificate.
