IFD - Invalid provider type specified when opening federation metadata URL

Posted on by 5

Hello Experts,

While configuring IFD for a customer (Right after configuring Dynamics 365 claims-based authentication). I get an error message (Invalid provider type specified) when opening the FederationMetadata URL.

Federation Metadata for CRM: internal.domain.com/.../FederationMetadata.xml

Certificate: Trusted Wildcard Certificate (Enabled for Server and Client Authentication)

CRM Version: V9.0.27.2

Any idea about what the problem could be? Thank you in advance
