How link an opportunity with a Campaign

I can't find how to link an opportunity to a campaign

I have created a new campaign that I linked to a segment with my target contacts

When I create a new opportunity, I cannot select the campaign on the opportunity card. I get an empty list of campaigns, but I see that there are 2 filters on the dates. Even when i clear those filters, the list of campaigns remains empty

What is the normal way of working?

I think I see how: the campaign was not activated. I did not want to create a campaign for special promo prices, and therefore I hadn't activated the function 'Activate Sales Prices/Line Discounts', but apparently, this is the only way to get the Campaign in the activated status, and you can only select active campaigns
