Hi Everyone,

I facing error while configuring Management Reporter 2012 ERP Integration to Microsoft Dynamics AX 2009.

It shows "The connection to the Microsoft Dynamics AX server failed. Management Reporter does not support connecting to multiple AOS servers."

My AX Version is AX 2009 and using MR 2012.

I have 2 Servers in my environment, AOS and DB Server.

In my AOS Server there are 5 AOS Instances installed, where I also installed Management Reporter 2012 which have no issue only having issue when configure the ERP Integration to AX 2009.

Is anyone experience it before and have solutions, appreciated kindly share to us.

    Hello Ariston,

Is your AX 2009 on RU8?

    Hello Ariston,

MR 2012 for AX 2009 can only connect to a single AOS. If you have companies in MR 2012 that point to a different environment, it will prevent you from adding a second AOS connection. Please refer to the following KB article which discusses this:

    support.microsoft.com/.../you-receive-an-error-when-you-change-dynamics-ax-companies-in-microsof

I believe KB 2543350 was originally written for MR 2.0, but the same information applies for MR 2012 as the same connector is being used. If you do not have companies already added to the MR 2012 database from a different AOS, I would recommend stopping and starting the MR services before trying to add the integration.

If you upgrade AX 2012, you can use the MR data mart to connect to multiple AOSes, as long as each AOS has unique company names.

    I hope that helps.

    Thanks!

    Hi JoshP,

Thanks for the information. So far we don't have plan to upgrade it to AX 2012, but I get your point and appreciated that.
