I've been researching and trying to determine if Microsoft Dynamics has a solution which matches the functionality and features of Showpad. I've come up with very little in terms of an OOB Dynamics app part of the current suite that meets enough of the Showpad functionality to investigate. Curious if anyone in the community would have any experience or knowledge they could share regarding a Microsoft product that could replace Showpad. Thank you all in advance for any input or suggestions.
well, looks like you know Showpad very well. I am not an expert on the Marketing module to reply to all your answers but I don't think you can get the granularity you are currently achieving with Showpad, the fact that they offer an integration is probably another indicator of missing functionalities inside the Dynamics module.
You can always try to contact a Microsoft Partner focused on Marketing and check if they can offer customizations to the Marketing module of the points you are currently using with Showpad.

Showpad is classified as a sales enablement tool and has integration with Dynamics 365 Sales. There is a similar software called MediaFly on the market as well and is competitor with Showpad. Showpad allows organizations to upload marketing collateral and then personalize it by grouping them into categories for users who then can easily share the content with Dynamics leads/contacts. They can draft an email message attaching this content, send directly to a contact/lead, and then the engagement is tracked via Showpad and logged on the Dynamics record (who opened the email, how long did they view it, did they download the content, how often, number of visits). I understand Dynamics Marketing has an asset library feature, however researching this, I do not see these additional options noted that Showpad has.

Benefits of this tool - Instead of users always having to find a file example a PDF and send direct to a contact/lead which may be a large file, require multiple separate sends if sending many files, this tool allows a quick way to do so and then effectively track the engagement.
Internal Showpad user statistics are logged to show most active users weekly
Marketing collateral stored on the site is ranked in most active/shared content weekly and those statistics are shared with business users
We are able to categorize the marketing collateral saved on Showpad by different business, product, technology, etc.
Users can take the existing collateral on Showpad and make their own personal "collection" or "shared space" and then share these with leads/contacts.
Users can via all of their historical shared content and review the stats from each.
Security roles are defined and can be set up by the different businesses within the org
There is a Microsoft Outlook plugin for Showpad that allows users to easily send emails and attach the appropriate collateral from Showpad to send to Dynamics leads/contacts
Showpad has the capability to be used either via desktop or mobile app.
Hopefully this helps further explain the tool and how we utilize it. Any suggestions or ideas of an approach with existing Microsoft products that could provide the same functions and not involve huge development and customizing to achieve would be welcomed input.

to be honest is the first time I hear "Showpad". Can you point to some of the functionalities present inside Showpad but you didn't find in Microsoft products?
