Managing user permissions in 2013

Hi

I have a problem with setting permissions for users in NAV2013. The setup is very simple:

User 1 must have access and permissions to everything.
User 2 must have access and permissions to everything - financial management.

How do I set tis scenario up in the easiest way possible?

Hi,

As per requirement for full access you can use super permission for USER1 and for User 2 you should create a permission set which have required objects permission and assign to that user.

For example:

Permission Set Description

BLOCK HR Block HR

FA-FIXED ASSET Read fixed assets and entries

FA-FIXED ASSET, EDIT Edit fixed assets

FA-JOURNAL Create entries in FA journals

FINANCE REPORT Report for Finance

NAV2013 NAV 2013 Nav Access

USER User table read

Hi,

For user1, you may use SUPER (as complete access is required).

For user2, you need to select the required permissions from the permission set. Each permission set has a meaningful description especially Basic, FA, G/L, P &P etc., which will help you to identify the required permissions.
