Hiding blocked dimension values

Hi all

We use a dimension called "activity code" which is mandatory when users are coding and approving purchase invoices.

We have blocked a particular value within this dimension as it should no longer be used.

The value is blocked at the point when the finance team post the purchase invoices, but still appears on the list that approvers can see. This is an issue because users continue to select this code in error when they approve invoices, and the finance team then have to recode before we can post the purchase invoice.

So my question is: is it possible to hide certain dimension values from approvers at the point of approving purchase invoices?

Hi Louise,

I think this can only be done with a customisation.

You have to add a filter to the Dimension Value List page to filter out the blocked values.

Go to page properties and put a condition in SourceTableView for blocked=false
