Bulk swap between two different fields under all dependencies

Hello,

I have a text field (First Name) that is included it many dependencies such as forms, view, charts, reports etc. I have created a new field (Last Name) which I wish to replace/add ONLY under the dependencies of which (First Name) is in under and remove (First Name) field. Is there a way to do that in a bulk change/swap rather than one dependency at a time?

I looked in the XRM tool box, but I haven't found a tool that can be used for that purpose.

I'm using CRM Microsoft Dynamics 365Version 1612 (8.2.XX)

Hi Ali.

The only way I could think of it using the source control to replace it on the components. I would still prefer to go one by one and replace them.

Hi,

It cannot be achieved automatically.

Maybe you could consider to copy the value of the new field to the old field with a business rule.

It allows to show the value of the new field in the components you mentioned.
