Is it possible to refresh the database from 10.0.24 to 10.0.22

Hi,

I have updated my Test Environment to 10.0.24 in order to finalize the testing and then update the Production Environment to 10.0.24. Production is currently on 10.0.22

I need to run some reports using SQL, which I normally do using a database refresh from Prod to test.

Is it possible to refresh the database or would this crash the test environment?

I have the same question (0)

    Hi Hossam,

Your question is not clear to me. Looking at the title only, then it is not supported. For database refreshes, the application needs to be on the same version.

Can you clarify what exactly you want to achieve here?

    Hi,

I have a sql script report that runs on the Gl and Cust Trans tables. Since my test and production environments are on different versions, it seems like I can’t run it unless I update production to be on the same version of test.
can I just export production database and import that database to a Dev environment which is on the same version as Production?

    Hi Hossam,

You can export the database from production and restore it on a development environment if they are on the same version.

I'm not sure what exact script you need to run. I do assume you are running on-premise as you can't run SQL scripts yourself on a production environment managed by Microsoft.

    Hi Andre,

Thanks for the quick follow up. I will try that.

As you mentioned the script is used to export data based on a couple of table joins. I guess I should try to create a data entity for that.

I used to refresh test environment from production on a weekly basis to export this data. As you mentioned we can’t query production.

    Our environments are all cloud.
