I was wondering if there is a way to change (or delete) the warehouse that an item is assigned to in on-hand inventory.
My situation is this: When we set up AX 2012 R3 we were using the WMS II system, but now that we have switched in our configuration to use the WHS system. The issue is, I cannot enable warehouse management in our current warehouses so I had planned to delete them and create identical warehouses with the WMS enabled. However, I cannot delete these warehouses as they have on-hand inventory assigned to them. So now I am looking for a way to delete the associated warehouse and re-assign a new one. Would this work? Perhaps would it be better to create new warehouses in the system and then just transfer the inventory so that I can delete the old ones? Any suggestions?
