Customizing OOB Reports in Dynamics 365

(0) ShareShare
ReportReport
Posted on by

Hi,

Below is a screenshot of OOB report - Case Summary Table.

CustomReports.PNG

The dropdown First Horizontal Group shows the fields to select from case entity.

We want to add a custom field to this dropdown.

Is there a way to customize the .rdl of the report?

Thanks

    Hello,

You can select the report > edit and in more actions, "Download Report" button as a rdl file, and change it in the visual studio.

Once done, you can reupload it as an existing file.

Note: take a backup of the existing report in case you need to do a rollback.

Where are you getting this error?

Did you have the SSDT installed on the DEV machine where ypu have installed the Visual Studio and want to edit this report?
