how to manage changes to PO above certain value

Hi

I have a requirement to get PO's reapproved when the changes made are above a certain value, but I can see no fields in the PO workflow to help me compare what the total value was as opposed to what it has been changed to?

Also the 'change management' feature I believe relates to ANY change needing further approval which is not appropriate (low value changes not a problem, or can be filtered to be approved by one person, high value changes by the FD for example).

changes could be by way of adding in extra lines, or uplifting the qty/value on an existing line

any ideas appreciated.

I have the same question (0)

    Hi AXfinance,

I am not aware of a standard feature that could handle this.

You might thus take a system modification if this is a 'must have' requirement.

    Best regards,

    Ludwig

    Hi AXFinance,

There are 'calculated' fields for the PO workflow with a name containing 'delta'. There is an amount and percentage which can be used in workflow conditions.

Hi Andre thanks for this.  I found the condition 'Purchase Order.delta invoice amount' and invoice percentage but don't know how to use them?  How do I get to the value of the change rather than the value of the original PO (that has already been approved).  How would the 'Purchase Order.delta invoice percentage' work, percentage of what?

    thanks

    AXF

    Hi AXF,

Yes, this is the delta. So the change. Or do you need a new total value?

    Hi Andre,

thanks for that I'll try it.  How do I trigger the Purchase Order workflow when there is a change?  PO's are currently auto created from an approved Purchase Requisition so it isn't currently in use.  I looked at the Change Management policy but couldn't see how to select the right fields to do what I need (flag up when there's a overall change over a certain value).  How else do I trigger the PO workflow to run when any changes are made?

    thanks

    AXF

    Hi AXF,

There is no separate workflow for only changes. You need to enable the Change management. Probably, you can then setup an automatic approval for first time submission (delta amount is probably zero then).
