Provide Holographic content anchor offset via Dynamics Instance

Hello,

I am exploring the possibility of creating a guide for a piece of hardware I do not have physical access to. I have the exact measurements and specifications of the hardware and the location the Guide will be run in such that I know the exact placement of the anchor for the guide and the exact offset in all three co-ordinates needed for each piece of holographic content.

I do not see any way to see these existing values in the Dynamics environment or the power apps interface that I have access to

Is it possible to provide the offset for each piece of holographic content for a guide through the dynamics environment, or the power app?

I will be looking into this from a power apps point of view as well, and asking a similar question on their forums, but am curious to know if this is even feasible in the first place from the perspective of Guides functionality.

I have the same question (0)

Hi Andrew, all guide information is stored in Dataverse. The table containing object placement is the Guide Step Object Placements table (msmrw_guidestepobjectplacement). Anchor information can be found in the Guides table. We don't have documentation for your specific scenario but I'll reach out to our engineering team for guidance. In the meantime take a look at the table. Note that high-level table information can be found at Dataverse table (entity) reference for Dynamics 365 Guides - Dynamics 365 Mixed Reality | Microsoft Docs and if you open the tables in Power Automate, you'll see field-level information.

Thanks Dave, still trying to get a handle on Power Automate, it's a whole separate thing we are trying to absorb now that we are getting very familiar with Guides. Thanks for the tip and I look forward to seeing what you hear back from the Engineering team.
